SERVICES RENDERED AT THE JUBLEE ACTIVITY CENTRE
1.LIBRARY:
Will be open on Mondays and Thursdays between 10:00 and 12:00.
2.KIOSK:
Will be open on Thursdays and Fridays between 10:00 and 11:00.
3.HAIR SALON:
Will be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Appointments to be made in advance with the hairdresser.
4.PRAYER AND CHURCH MEETINGS:
A prayer meeting is held on Tuesdays at 15:30 in the Board Room in the Activity Centre. Church Services takes place on Sundays at 09:30. All denominations are welcome. N A C (New Apostolic Church) on Wednesdays at 19:00.
5.TRANSPORT TO N1 CITY AND GOODWOOD TOWN CENTRE:
Mondays (no charge) Kombi to N1 City depart at 08:30
Tuesday Kombi to N1 City depart at 08:45
Fridays Kombi to Goodwood Mall depart at 08:45
Residents will be collected at 11:30.
Kindly note that the sponsored Kombi of the N1- City will transport residents to the Shopping Mall free of charge on Mondays. On the last Friday of each month, free transport to the N1-City Shopping Mall will be provided to residents with the Kombi of the Goodwood Jubilee Memorial Homes.
Every Monday lists are being placed on the notice board at block 1 (one). Residents are requested to
write their names on the list should they wish to make use of the kombi, Payments to be made in advance with the Administrative Official.
6.OUTINGS:
Outings are regularly arranged for residents. It is important that notices as placed on the notice board be read regularly. Residents are encouraged to take part.
7.GAMES:
Games are being played on Wednesdays within each block of flats. Residents are encouraged to partake in order to get to know one another better.
Bingo is played on Fridays at 15:00 in the Activity Centre.
Line dances can be attended on Wednesdays at 10:00 in the Activity Centre, A dart board is available in the library. Keys can be obtained from
8.BLOOD PRESSURE CLINIC:
Time: Each Thursday between 08:30 and 11:30 Place: Clinic (Activity Centre).
Blood pressure of residents who are not mobile will on merit be taken in the flats. Such visits will only takeplace during the week should the Nursing Staff regard it necessary. Residents are kindly requested not to unnecessarily request the nursing staff to take blood pressures at the flat,
